Mayer Park Outdoor Gym (Thornbury)

In the north east corner of the park is an outdoor exercise gym with a sit-up board (for core strength), steps-ups (for leg strength), aerobic cycle, stretch station, body twist, chest press, body pulls, push-ups, pull-ups, leg raises, leg press and multi-bars.

You can scan a QR code on the equipment using your smart phone to view an exercise instruction video for the equipment.

There is big grassy area, water tap and toilets nearby.

If you have a medical condition, are over weight, are aged over 40 or haven't exercised regularly in a long time, see your doctor for a medical check-up before starting any new exercise program. This equipment is designed for use by adults and children aged over 12. Please supervise younger children around this equipment.

This facility was built by the Darebin Council as a Citizen Jury Initiative to promote active recreation in a local community.
