Kingston Heath Reserve Dog Off Leash Area (Cheltenham)

Kingston Heath Reserve Dog Off Leash Area (Cheltenham)

A big unfenced grassy area dotted with some trees which has dog exercise equipment in the middle.

Gravel paths form the boundary between off-leash and on-leash areas and the grassy off-leash area is about 150m x 150m.

Near the exercise area is an unshaded seat, bin and water tap and there is an unshaded picnic table to the north in the on-leash area.

Even though there are quite a lot of dogs coming here, the area is so huge that the opportunities for interactions with other dogs is diminished.

There are various routes for access. You can park in the car park along Centre Dandenong Road and walk in a north east direction to the off-leash area past the playground, cricket oval and tennis wall. Alternatively drive to the carpark at the end of Farm Road which is close to the off-leash area.

Update: There is a plan to upgrade this dog park and convert it to a fenced park. See the proposal.
