Tootgarook Recreational Reserve Fenced Dog Park (Tootgarook)

Tootgarook Recreational Reserve Fenced Dog Park (Tootgarook)

A fenced grassy area between Leonard Street and Marshall Street. There are three double gates on the east, west and south sides but small dogs can get under the gates. The area has some small hills and there are clumps of trees on the north side.

On the south side fence there is a water tap with bowl for dogs and people. There is a bin at the Leonard Street (east) entrance but another bin on the Marshall Street (west) side is needed since there is a lot of dog poop in this area and outside the fenced area seems to be a bit of a dumping ground.

The park gets a number of visitors but can be a little quiet if you are looking for interactions with other dogs.

At the Leonard Street end there is a house with huge statues and columns resembling the Greek Parthenon. If you can't afford a trip to Athens, then take the cheap option and come here for a look. You won't have to contend with the air pollution or heat of Athens either.

A new playground is being built next to the dog park.
