The Wall Road Bike Climb (Monbulk)

The Wall climb starts at Monbulk and rises up to Olinda on the slopes of Mount Dandenong. The overall gradient of the climb is not too steep but The Wall is named because of two steep sections which reach a maximum gradient of just under 10% (at the 2 km mark and at the 3.4 km mark). There are also some flatter sections as well as these very steep sections.

The Wall begins at the corner of Monbulk Road (C404) and Monbulk Olinda Road (C406) and officially starts as soon as you are on Monbulk Olinda Road. The Wall ends in line with the Olinda swimming pool sign which is on the right-hand side of the road.

The Climb is located in the Dandenong Ranges National Park and travels past lovely gardens such as Cloudehill Gardensand the RJ Hamer Arboretum.
