Wandong and Heathcote Junction Memorial Park Playground, Epping-Kilmore Road, Wandong

The playground is set next to a Skate Park, lovely little RSL Memorial surrounded by roses and a memorial to Black Saturday. The playground has three swings and a structure with wave slide, inclined walkway, ladder with flat steps, fireman's pole, parallel horizontal bars, monkey bars, disk traverse, single chain traverse and chain spiders web climbing frame.

There is a single shelter with table, water tap, unshaded seats, shelter with table and BBQ plus a small grassy area. 50m away is another shelter with seats and toilets.

On the far side of the skate park is a small wave slide on a hillock and a memorial to Black Saturday on 7th February 2009. Have a read of the plaque on the stone wall of the memorial, it is very moving.

Directions: Drive through Wandong and continue south. The playground is located on the Epping Kilmore Road and opposite the Caltex Service Station.
