Visitor Information Centre Playground, Glenelg Highway, Lake Bolac

Located next to the visitor Information Centre and full of activities and facilities for a family stop. There is an old blue and red tractor to climb up onto and drive, three shelters with tables and a BBQ, water tap and a play structure under shade sails with wave slide, scrambling wall, fireman's pole, ladder, tunnel, small slide, steering wheel, steps, walkway, flying fox and monkey bars.

Also under shade is a skateboard springer, frog springer, stand-on spinner and a four person rocker. Unshaded are a skateboard springer, swings, speedboat on springs and a standalone traverse of hanging disks. Unshaded seats and a smallish grassy area next to the playground.

A highlight is a concrete path which goes around the tourist information centre with impressions in the path of birds and animals, a lovely set of hanging pipes which you can hit to make music and a lot of information boards covering these topics: flora of the Western plains, local reptiles, bird life, the tornado which passed through the district in 2006, short finned eel, eel festival, flax mill, natural disasters, the Depression, soldier settlement, sport, entertainment, hawkers, early transport, salt lakes, Narrapumelap homestead, first sheep run, bluestone buildings, early settlers, George Augustus Robinson, Salt Creek, legend of the bunyip, first people of the lake, aboriginal mounds and geology of the district.
