Alexandra Gardens Playground, Vincent Street, Ararat
The playground is set in the lovely Alexandra Gardens which has a big lake and a range of different gardens. A path to the main play structure leads through an open hut for toddlers with an abacus, shop front and binoculars and continues to a ramp which leads to dual wave slides, climbing wall, rubber covered chain tunnel, hanging chain traverse, chain bridge, fireman's pole, happy face ladder, balance beam bridge, monkey rungs and another chain traverse. All this is under a shade sail including swings.
Scattered around are six unshaded tables and 100m away are shelters with tables and BBQs and toilets are located further up the slope. Suited for all abilities access. Near the swimming pool is an exercise station with leg press, sit-up bench and elliptical trainer.
