Ararat Outdoor Olympic Swimming Pool
The Ararat Olympic Outdoor Pool is located in the lovely Alexandra Gardens. The pool was closed for a period and the Andrews Labor Government delivered on its commitment to fund the upgrade of the pool, saving it from the brink of permanent closure.
Review:
When we visited, the pool surroundings were still getting updated and should be more attractive when the next summer season starts.
There is a 50m pool which varies in depth from 0.9m to 3m and a concrete water splash pad for younger kids which has a mushroom shaped spray, water cannons, little tipping buckets and ground sprays.
On one side is a big shade shelter (fairly bare of grass underneath) and a bit of grassy area.
