Lake Learmonth Playground, Foreshore Road, Lake Learmonth
Lake Learmonth may be utterly and completely dry but you will need to dog paddle through the high soft woodchips in the fenced playground area to enjoy the facilities. There are swings and a structure with steep wave slide, steps, ladder with ring steps, telescope and climbing wall.
Shelter with table, water tap, unshaded seat. Someone with a sense of humour has erected a sign "NO swimming in access lane". Lookout for a tree stump carving of a water skier outside the club rooms for the Learmonth Ski Club (I understand that is water and not snow skiing). 100m away is a shelter with table and BBQ, an unshaded table and toilets.
