Cheshunt - Paradise Falls and Little Falls

Paradise Falls in the Alpine National park cascade an uninterrupted 31 metres and are best viewed in spring, early summer or after rain. The walking is easy on a well established track. Information, toilet and picnic facilities are available on site.

The last 11 km of the road to the falls is on a well-kept gravel road. There are picnic facilities at the car park. The walk to the viewing platform is a well made stepped track and is about 500m in length. The track then leads down further to the underneath the falls. You can walk under the cliff face behind these falls.

Paradise Falls is 17 km from Whitfield via Cheshunt. Travel to the small township of Cheshunt and at the main Cheshunt intersection continue straight through (east) on Rose River Road. Travel 1.6 km to Paradise Falls Road. Turn right into Paradise Falls Road. Travel 7.2 km to the parking area. Walk down the walk path for 200m to the Paradise Falls viewing platform. The track is of easy grade and includes some steps.

Little Falls (20 minutes return) are a pretty 17 metre drop. The start of the walk is 2.4 km back along the road from Paradise Falls.
