Big Tree Park Playground, Ballarat Street, Guildford

Big Tree Park Playground, Ballarat Street, Guildford

The main feature of the playground is a River Red Gum named the "Big Tree". It is named the "Big Tree" for a good reason since it is one of the largest of the species in Victoria with a trunk circumference of 9.35m. Estimates of the age of the tree range between 500 to 1000 years.

The playground has a structure with dual wave slides, fireman's pole, balance beam, rope bridge, steps, telescope, clock and driving panel where you can change the gears. There is plastic basketball net with different numbers on each exit hole and a climbing structure with rope net, rope traverse, hanging rungs and suspended ladder. No swings.

Next to two tennis courts with netball nets at each end, shelter with BBQ and seats, four unshaded tables, toilets and same grassy area.
