Reedy Creek - Murchison Gap Lookout
The lookout at Murchison Gap has breath-taking views of the Valley of a Thousand Hills and the King Parrot Creek catchment area.
Review:
The lookout is located 50m up the gravel Murchison Spur Road from Strath Creek Road. There are spectacular views of the hills below from a viewing platform. The lookout overlooks the "Valley of a Thousand Hills". We didn't have time to count up to 1000 but there sure are a lot of hills in the view.
There is an information board about the area plus a map showing the extent of the 2009 Kilmore fire in Strath Creek / Reedy Creek. Two lives were lost and 30 dwellings and structures destroyed.
There are seats on the viewing platform and under the trees is a shaded table and seat.
