National Institute of Circus Arts (Prahran)

National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is a national arts training institute that offers Australia's only Bachelor of Circus Arts.

Now anyone can join the circus - Combining the best aspects of sport and art, circus at NICA will improve fitness, coordination, strength and flexibility, while building confidence in a fun and supportive environment. At NICA, you can choose from a huge variety of classes designed for beginners through to advanced participants.

Classes are term-based and held after school/business hours and on Saturday mornings. They range from general circus to specific skills, and are designed for all ages, body types, skill and fitness levels.

Learn the basics or specialise in any number of aerial and ground-based skills including flying trapeze, tissu, hula hoops, juggling, trampolining, tumbling and acrobalance.

Birthday Parties
At NICA we run parties for children from age 5 years upwards giving them the opportunity to experience all the fun of the circus in our custom built circus training centre in Prahran. Parties are available all year round on Saturdays, as well as Monday to Friday during the school holidays.

Birthday party packages - Join us at NICA for a birthday party workshop. Learn a selection of different skills, such as juggling, hula-hoops, tight-wire, acrobatics, trampoline or trapeze. Our professional circus trainers will lead the group through high-energy circus activities and games, creating a fun and inclusive environment. The 1.5 hour workshop is followed by a 30 minutes party time.

Add some more fun - If you would like to add some entertainment to the party, CircaNICA can offer interactive children's shows, face painting, balloon bending or roving performers. We have magicians, clowns, acrobats, puppeteers and a number of other specialist children's entertainers to WOW your young guests!
