Glenburn - Toolangi and Black Range State Forest Trail Bike Visitor Area



Situated adjacent to the Melba Highway is the Marginal Road Trail Bike Visitor Area. Located just 500m from the entrance to the forest on Marginal Road, the visitor area serves as an excellent launching place for your ride within the Toolangi and Black Range State Forests. An overflow visitor area is also provided at Two Hills Road. Refer to the attached map for locations.

Riding Routes & Safety Information

Ride 1 - 50kms (Three season use only)
This ride provides some challenging ascents and descents. This ride incorporates some seasonal road closures which cannot be used during the seasonal road closure period. Refer to the forest map for further information.

Ride 2 - 100km (All season use)
This ride provides some steep and rocky descents and ascents. Some of these roads may become more challenging and slippery following rainfall and be aware that log trucks may be using these roads with you. This riding route can be used all year round.

Location and Access - The visitor area is approximately 35km from Melbourne's outer north eastern suburbs, near the towns of Toolangi and Glenburn. You can access the visitor area via the Melba Highway. From Glenburn, travel 6km south on the Melba until you reach Marginal Road. If travelling from Yarra Glen, Marginal Road is 7km past the Toolangi/KingLake turn off. The visitor area is a further 500m along Marginal Road.
