Shaped like a giant eagle hawk, the fantastic play space located on the shores of Lake Neangar, offers a unique and diverse range of play experiences for children of all ages. The playground is separated into different areas including a nature play area, fenced toddler area and active and adventure play areas.

It features custom-designed play equipment inspired by the famous Banjo Paterson poem "Mulga Bill's Bicycle", which starts with the line "T'was Mulga Bill from Eaglehawk" plus a butterfly-themed junior play area called "Where Angels Play" to celebrate the life of baby Zayden Veal Whitting.

Some of the most exciting play equipment includes a multi level climbing tower with two big tunnel slides and a straight slide, two human-sized hamster wheels, double bicycle spinner, huge wide slide where kids can slide beside each other, flying fox, cable climb, tree stump forest, huge basket swing and an in-ground trampoline.

The fully fenced toddler area has a brilliant talking book station, a wooden chair carved by a local artist from an old ironbark stump where you can sit and hear the story of Mulga Bill's Bicycle from a giant talking book, wooden Mulga Bill cubby house, a large sandpit with water play, giant butterfly shade sails, expression swing where the adult and child sit opposite each other, multiple see-saws, musical play stations, balance stepper logs and a small climbing tower with a slide.

Look out for the lines of the poem which are etched onto logs and Mulga Bill splashing into the lake after tumbling off his bike.

The play space has extensive tree planting, landscaping, picnic tables, BBQs, water taps, toilets with change facilities.

Close by is Eaglehawk Skatepark which is an international class park for beginner and intermediate skaters that includes split level quarter pipes, flat banks, hubba ledge, spine, euro gap and grind rails.

The 4km Mulga Bill Bicycle Trail connects Lake Neangar to the Greater Bendigo National Park. Explore the trail from the Eaglehawk Playspace, around the Lake, across Simpsons Road, past the scout hall and into the forest. The Scout Hall reserve is designated as an off leash dog friendly area.
