The centrepiece of the playground, which is located at a wayside stop, is a steam engine shaped structure with big wheels, wave slide, curved climber ladder with half circles, ladder with square rungs, straight ladder and steering wheels. Also a birds nest swing, wagon springer, stand on spinner, standard swings and flying fox.

Moderate sized grassy area, unshaded seats, three unshaded tables, shelter with table and historical information panels, toilets and another shelter with table and BBQ.

Opposite the site of the Murrabit Country Market. The playground is also on the site of the former entrance to the Murrabit Railway Station and Shunting Yards which were opened on 19th December 1925 and closed on 19th December 1961. The township of Murrabit was established as a railway station on the Kerang-Stony Crossing border railway in 1925. The town was built two miles from the river, a stipulation set by the New South Wales Government as a condition of collaboration with the border railway scheme. There is the Murrabit Railway Heritage Trail and Walking Track to the bridge over the Murray River which is a 5.2km round trip.
