Apsley - Newlands Nature Walking Trail

Federation Corner is the start of an easy, all weather walking track, linking the township of Apsley to the pictursque Newlands Lake. Meandering through 258 hectares of natural unspoiled bushland, the 5 km walk (or shorter version if you choose) takes you into the amazing stands of stringybarks, banksias and rare orchids of the reserve. Surrounded by beautiful red gums, wetlands, flora and fauna, all still found in their natural environments. If bush walking is your passion, Newlands Nature Walking Trail is the one for you!

While you are in the area, check out the largest flowering gum in the southern hemisphere which is located in Apsley! It is located in Wallace street, just past the local Post Office.

The Apsley Visitor Information Centre is located at Apsley Cafe, Wallace Street, Apsley.
