Koondrook - Arbuthnot Sawmill Tours
Arbuthnot Sawmills established a tourist walkway through the mill in 1998. This was purposefully built for school groups, community organisations and tourists. The walkway allows for safe access and the opportunity of viewing the Redgum logs through the milling process and on to become a magnificent piece of Redgum Furniture.
The tours focus on:
-History and social and economic effects on Koondrook .
-Environmental management of sustainable redgum forests.
-Processing-viewing from walkway
-Kiln drying and value adding
-Finished product; river redgum furniture showroom
