Mount Burnett Observatory (Cockatoo)
Mt Burnett Observatory is an astronomical observatory in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne. It is now run for the benefit of the community by Mount Burnett Observatory Inc.
Mt Burnett Observatory was built by Monash University in 1972 to be its main astronomical research facility. Our goal is to make the telescope available to community groups and to the general public.
