Ocean Grove Toy Library

Ocean Grove Toy Library

We currently have over 500 toys in stock that are available for our members to borrow. The toys range from smaller Lego sets to large playhouses.

The Ocean Grove Toy Library is a voluntary non-profit organisation run by and for parents and families of the local Ocean Grove community. We aim to provide pleasurable play and learning experiences at minimal cost.

What is a toy library? - A toy library is a place where parents, carers and families can go to borrow a large range of educational toys, games and puzzles for children up to the age of 6. Much like a book library, members can borrow toys for a fortnightly period, then choose more toys on their return.

The cost of toys - Good toys are often so expensive that they are beyond the means of many families. A toy library is able to provide a large selection of quality toys and equipment for loan.

Benefits of a Toy Library - In addition, the Toy Library provides a venue for parents, children and others to interact in a casual, friendly environment.

Quality toys are expensive and can quickly lose their play value. By borrowing toys, parents can save money and provide new stimulation for their children every couple of weeks.
