The BEST playgrounds in the Central Melbourne Region

To celebrate reaching 2400 likers on our Melbourne Playgrounds Facebook page, we have created a document in PDF format which has a summary of the best playgrounds in the central region of Melbourne. It includes 23 playgrounds in Albert Park, Carlton, Carlton North, East Melbourne, Fitzroy North, Flemington, Kensington, Melbourne CBD, Middle Park, North Melbourne, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and West Melbourne.

The document can be accessed electronically or printed and kept in the car to use when the opportunity arises. Access the guide here.

We have also created a Pinterest board with the playgrounds.

A map with the playground locations and links to the reviews and photos is here:

UPDATE: Since we published this list, some other great playgrounds have been created or upgraded and should be added to the list. These are:

Royal Park Nature Playground, Gatehouse Street, Parkville. This playground was the winner of the Best Designed Public Play Space in Australia.

Ron Barassi Snr Park, Docklands Drive, Docklands

Thanks for offering this information for parents. We are often wanting to visit different places with our three-year-old son.
