Ever been keen to start sailing, but too afraid to try? Australian Sailing's The Boatshed at Albert Park Lake and Mobile Boatshed have a range of sailing opportunities for all kids, teenagers and adults wanting to learn to sail.

We invite anyone of any ability to come and experience the fun of sailing at an affordable price. Albert Park Lake has a heritage of over 100 years of introducing Melburnians to sailing on its safe and enclosed waters. Our Mobile Boatshed unit is available to service anyone throughout regional Victoria.

The Tackers 1,2,3 program - is the main accredited introductory kids sailing program recognised by Australian Sailing. Ages 7 years - 12 years. One-off Little Tackers and Tackers Intro experiences available for ages 4 - 12.

Our youth program for 12 - 16 year olds focuses on learning to sail through fun and adventure in a social setting.

Our adult program teaches you the basics of sailing in a fun and practical setting so that you can get out on the water safely and enjoy sailing.

Holiday Program
The Boatshed is proud to deliver holiday programs for kids, youth and adults at Albert Park in Melbourne, as well as at regional locations throughout Victoria through our Mobile Boatshed. If you are looking for a fun way to fill in some of the school holidays, why not get the kids out learning to sail!

Our locations include Albert Park, Werribee South, Flinders, Portland, Angelsea, Point Leo and Barwon Heads.

School holiday sailing programs are available year-round for kids and teenagers from ages 4 - 17 years old at our Albert Park Lake base. All of our programs are delivered by our experienced, friendly and professional Australian Sailing qualified instructors and every session is designed to get participants out on the water safely, having heaps of fun and learning the basics of sailing.
