Ellisfield Farm (Red Hill)

Discover the essence of Ellisfield Farm. Whether it’s sweet cherries, sour Morello cherries or Quinces, we’ve got them. Available for Pick-your-own and pre-packed seasonally.

Ellisfield Farm is a family run business and caters for several groups of visitors:

We aim to be a destination for younger people, older people, and families who wish to experience the joy of picking fresh fruit, straight from the tree. We also welcome many parents who come to share in their children’s first experience in fruit picking.

We also aim to provide premium quality, locally produced gourmet products, suitable for all tastes. Our product range is ever expanding and enjoyed Australia wide.

Finally, it wouldn’t be a farm without farm animals! Our resident furry friends include two dogs, two cats, an anglo-nubian goat, black sheep, two alpacas, Chinese geese, silver appleyard and Indian runner ducks, plus rare breeds of poultry – all of whom enjoy a great life on the farm.

Ellisfield Farm has over 15 different varieties of cherries to pick, including white flesh cherries, which are not readily available in retail outlets.

An afternoon of fruit picking in the orchard really is the perfect way to spend a summer day out with family or friends. All ages welcome. Product availability may vary during the picking season.

Our unpleasant experience at Ellisfield Farm, THE owners too busy with farm to worry about guests and at $195 per night very POOR VALUE cottage advertised prominently as "4 Star Accommodation" air-conditioned, but it was nonfunctioning on arrival.advertised "You'll indulge in generous breakfast provisions." But No cereal, nojuice,no ground coffee for the plunger provided. Eggs cheap shop boughtBacon provided was one small packet of home brand, not enough for two breakfasts for two people. Bathroom necessities were basic,The double bed mattress was substandard. We were given a key for entry and exit through a wonky farm gate.tricky to manage at night by car headlights.furthermore, to cap off our unpleasant experience, there was a power failure in the bathroom on our morning of our departure. We have travelled extensively in Australia and overseas and stayed in lots of 4 Star rated accommodation. In the case of Ellisfield farm, they advertised 4 Star accommodation and an experience of quality and indulgence. Their service and product has been misrepresented and a disappointment to say the least.

The same thing happened to me today, when called up was told that there was only a $8 dollar entry fee. But when arrive was asked to pay $8 + $12 for minimum 1kg of cherry per person. Tried to reason with the owner but was told by them we were the type to come in and eat up all their cherries without paying. The owner was very rude and abusive, do not recommend anybody to go!

Extremely expensive, unreal prices. No more buckets allowed. $21 per 1.2 kilos of cherries in a plastic punnet. Very rude owners who are uncomplimentary if you are astonished by their prices. Do not recommend to anyone to go there. Waste of time and money. There is "Ripe & Ready Farm" just next to it (do not turn to McIllroys Road but go another 2-3 kms further down the road and you will see another farm).
