Jacinta Bartlett Reserve Playground, South Street, Pascoe Vale

Jacinta Bartlett Reserve Playground, South Street, Pascoe Vale

Purple and green structure with curved slide, chain ladder, abacus, shop front, clanger to hit against pipes, steps, steering wheel, chain traverse, very low balance beam, monkey bars and a rope climbing frame. Springer and swings. Unshaded tables and seats. Grassy area for play. There is a free mulch collection point opposite - great chance to combine gardening and play.

There is a gravel bike track around a grassy area.

This reserve named in remembrance of the Bartlett Family, Jacinta Bartlett, her husband Garry and daughter Erryn who passed away in the Black Saturday Bushfires on 7 February 2009 at St Andrews.

They are survived by their daughter and sister Maddison. Jacinta was much loved and respected Manager of Open Space at Moreland City Council and a great advocate for the City's parks, gardens and reserves. The 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires claimed 173 Victorian lives and is Victoria's worst peacetime disaster.
