Seville Pool Playground, Warburton Highway, Seville

A lovely play area beside the Seville Water Play park. This is now a destination for summer and winter after the upgrade of the playground. The fun highlights of the play space are a huge birds nest swing, a big cone which revolves around (hopefully with the help of an army of kids and parents) and a full size tractor with trailer.

Other elements include a simple maze made from open wooden fences guarded by a sheep dog and a less than vigilant cow. Inside the maze you can find a pig and a sheep, a cylinder you turn around to make noises (thankfully better than the noises a pig makes after eating a bag of beans), pentagonal frame with five swings including one with a harness, family sized see-saw, two in-ground trampolines, long structure with monkey bars and flying fox and another structure with wave slide, spiral slide, chain ladder, steps, shop front, telescope and steering wheel.

There is a huge sandpit partly covered by a roof and a water feature beside it where you press a button and water flows over the top of a large rock and through part of the sandpit where there is a creature (which I'm struggling to identify) and onto an area below where it is great fun to clamber over the rocks.

There is a shelter with a table and BBQs, another shelter with a table, unshaded seats and a water tap. There are huge grassy areas at the Recreation Reserve next door.

The playground itself is pretty small and a bit sad looking. The water play area is FANTASTIC! The pics here don't really do it justice. It shoots water in in different directions and in timed sequences. Like kids running through a fountain. I imagine it was turned off at the time of taking the pictures above. When we were there it switched off around 6 pm. I'm guessing it, perhaps, also doesn't function at colder times of the year. Great fun for the kids. It is bound to be a popular place in Summer.
