Nice location next to the Maribyrnong River. The highlight is a beautifully crafted Pirate ship named the "Black Sapphire". The ship is currently moored to a jetty in a sea of sand getting ready to set sail for a voyage of plundering. Access to the ship is via a wooden bridge or thick rope bridge. The ship has two medium height wave slides and a scrambling wall at the rear (or is that the stern?), Captains Quarters with table and benches (if you are lucky enough to be invited to the Captain's table), a tunnel under the ship and lovely touches such as a plank, three bells to ring, treasure map, canons sticking out the side of the ship, telescopes and lovely big steering wheel. A great place for imaginative play.

In the sand are two swings (one with harness) and a hammock. There is a shelter with two tables and unshaded seats surrounding the ship.

Another area has a high tower reached by a rope tunnel net, sloping climbing wall or ladder (requires some climbing ability). When you reach the elevated platform, there is a tunnel slide to come back down to the ground. There is also a climbing area with a big tangle of rope nets, log stump stepper, circuit, and another hammock.

There is another shelter near the river, with two tables and seats, three unshaded tables, BBQs, water tap and toilets. The playground is near the Maribyrnong River so care needs to be taken with young children.
