Hookey Park Playground, Charles Street, Mooroolbark

Hookey Park Playground, Charles Street, Mooroolbark

The playground blends in nicely to the surroundings of shady trees split by a rocky dry creek bed with a sandy area at the bottom. On one side of the creek bed is a structure with a series of wooden steps and ramps which leads to wave slides, enclosed ladders which lead to the top, speak and listen system and rope ladder. As well as the creek which has a bridge there are other natural elements including paths of rocks and logs and plenty of mushroom rocks scattered about. Other play equipment includes a rope traverse, two spinners, swings and a huge birds nest swing.

Unshaded tables and BBQ are located at the top of the playground, unshaded tables and seats at the bottom, water tap, grassy area, huge shelter with seats and an area of paths landscaped with rocks and young trees. The playground was upgraded in 2013 and is located next to the Mooroolbark Library - a great chance to read and play.
