Moorabbin Obedience Dog Club

Moorabbin Obedience Dog Club

Moorabbin & District Obedience Dog Training Club was established in 1972 and is one of the largest dog obedience clubs in Victoria. We are a not for profit organization, run entirely by volunteers, and we have over 1,000 members.

Our aim is to teach you how to train your dog to perform basic functions such as walking at heel (without pulling the lead), sit, stay, drop, stand and come on a recall. We use simple commands and tone of voice, always rewarding success with praise. Socialisation plays a large part of our Puppy class (3-6 months), and retrieval exercises using toys and dumb-bells are also part of our controlled play activities at all levels.

We are affiliated with Dogs Victoria (Victoria Canine Association) and many of our members enjoy trialling their dogs in Obedience and Agility. There is no greater reward than to see a handler and dog working in perfect partnership.

Location: Our club rooms and training grounds are located at the GR Bricker Reserve, Rowans Road, Moorabbin.
