I think J Woods is an imaginary club member because anyone who trains there knows that comment is BS. It's a great club who train with positive methods.

Our club uses reward based training techniques and has done so for many years, anyone who really is a member knows this. We welcome anyone to come and see how we train before they join. At no time has the club ever had a member named J Woods. :)

There has never been a J Woods as a member of our club, maybe they should go to that other club, if they don't mind instructors dogs that BITE.

Can't wait for the Club to start back after the break. Congrats to all the helpers who put on a fantastic Xmas party. There was heaps of food, lots of laughter and a swag of trophies, ribbons and other awards given to members. Yes, some compete but a lot of others were given awards for their volunteering, instructing and helping the club run. Some people who just can't get the training right always blame others for their own issues. The club is awesome and has lots of experience in training and socialising and it trains with positives like food and toys. Give it go and come and see for yourself. I'll be trying Flyball with my ball crazy border cause it's really fun watching the dogs bound after the balls. Teddy can't wait to see his friends again too.

All I can say is WOW what a messed up club!! I've been attending this club for quite a few months now and met some lovely people and their four legged friends but the consistent reviews that I get from these people is that there is an underlining of politics and bullying which starts from the top, that goes with it. I was told by these people that if I disagreed with anything, not to express my opinion for fear of being thrown out of the club altogether. A bullying technique if I ever saw one, what are we 13 again? The classes are very regimented and military style which is great if you want the show your dog in competitions but for the average Joe it is no fun for you or your dog. The one thing I will say for the club is that its instructors do have a lot of experience but they do need to move into the 21st century with their training techniques. I've done a bit of research and apparently there is another Dog Club which has just started in the Altona Meadows area which focuses on positive reinforcement to train your dog instead of check chains and the word "NO" So do yourself a favour and chose the right training technique that suits you and the happiness of your dog.
