The Shirley Rogers Academy of Dance offers a range of dance and performing arts classes for girls and boys in Sunbury. Come along and join us for classes in R.A.D. We have adult classes in jazz dancing and pilates. We also have instrumental classes in piano/keyboard, saxophone, guitar, flute and recorder. And as if that wasn't enough we also have Break Dancing classes!

Why should your child learn ballet?

When taught correctly, children can only benefit from studying ballet. Ballet develops the co-ordination of mind and body. It can improve and correct poor posture and can help to strengthen a child who is physically weak. Ballet builds confidence and promotes self-discipline. It also gives children a sense of movement, rhythm and an appreciation of music.

The Royal Academy of Dance is the largest, most influential public examining body for classical ballet throughout the world. The R.A.D. Childrens Syllabus has been devised with extreme care. It progresses a child in slow stages demanding no more of a the body that it can easily cope with. The result of an R.A.D. exam is a uniformly high standard in every country where the syllabus is taught.
