A writhing octopus commands the playground. It's surrounded by a small birds nest swing, atom shaped rope climbing frame, four person spinning seat, elevated platform with walkways on the sides, ladder and metal slide, a colourful fish springer, stand-alone metal slide, see-saw, standard swings, expression swing where the career and child sit opposite each other, talking tubes and inverted V-shaped climbing structure.

To the side is a big pirate ship rope climbing frame with a wave slide. The clustering of marine style bollards next to the pirate ship mimic a pier-like setting.

There is a shelter with table and seats, water tap, big multipurpose court, some grassy area, lots of rocks and logs scattered about (they provide surfaces for a variety of uses including gathering different items from around the park, using the logs to balance on, sitting or gathering around them or even using the rocks as a stage) and beautiful wooden carvings of pelicans (the pelicans are in a motion picture like series, showing a pelican taking flight), casuarina cone and that octopus. There is a story telling corner next to the casuarina tree and some concrete paths for bikes.

To ensure all visitors can enjoy the features in the reserve, a wide concrete path links accessible equipment and amenities. Accessible features include the giant basket swing, spinner, octopus sculpture, telescope, talking tubes, picnic shelter seating, drink fountain, multi-purpose court and the story telling corner.
