Halley Park Playground, Ethel Street, Bentleigh
Another one of those lovely, colourful Glen Eira playgrounds with lots of ramps. The main structure includes three slides (spiral, straight and curved), educational panels, tic-tac-toe, climbing mats, mirrors, telescope, walkways, cylinders with numbers, steps, ladders, climbers, balance beam, monkey bars and flying fox. Also huge pyramid climbing frame, see-saw, rockers, stand on spinners, line of frogs, lovely little tables and four swings. There are shade sails over part of the playground.
Basketball court and outdoor gym nearby. Rotunda with three tables, BBQs, other tables with possible shade. Quite a large grassy area for playing games. I'm getting tired fingers writing it all down - surely the kids will get just as tired here. Lovely place to have a BBQ on a nice summer evening.
Access for Dogs:
- The open grassed area at the western end of Halley Park (closest to Ethel Street) is off-leash.
- All other areas of Halley Park, including the playground and picnic areas, are on-leash
