Kingston Toy Library is a community toy lending library open to everyone. With over 1500 toys to choose from. Members have the option to borrow 3, 5 or 8 toys for a fortnight. We have a huge selection of toys to choose from: puzzles, costumes, ride on cars, sand & water play, baby toys, games, mini kitchens musical instruments and more.
Quality toys are expensive and children quickly become bored with a toy once its play value has been exhausted. By providing new play materials every week or two, parents can save money and significantly contribute towards the development and education of their children.
What can I borrow? The toy library offers a variety of old favourites with new up-to-date toys. Age appropriate toys are available from 0-8 years. A great range of areas are covered: Manipulative, Cognitive, Emotional, Music, Outdoor, Vehicles, Playhouses, Sand play, Costumes, Education, Puzzles, Over-6-yrs, Baby, Toddler, Imaginative play, Sporting, Construction and much more.
Note: Pedestrian access to the library is via the driveway located between the University of the Third Age (U3A) and Meals on Wheels.
Closed Victorian public holidays, long weekends and during January.
There are a range of family memberships available starting from $45 per year. A discount of $5 applies on all levels of membership for concession holders. Each family is asked to do eight hours of duty so that there are enough people available to help with borrowing. For those who can't, Duty Waiver is available at an additional cost per year (about $80)
