Entry Prices

Fantastic Aquatic Centre with an unbelievably low general entry price for families (excluding the slides). All the facilities are indoors. A big open area includes a 50m pool which can be divided into two sections, a nicely shaped area for toddlers with a beach entry and water sprays which is segmented into areas with depths ranging from 0.0 to 0.5m, rectangular pool which is 0.9m deep and a warm water program pool, varying in depth from 0.9m to 1.3m, which is open to the public and meant for gentle exercise and rehabilitation. Provided you don't muck about too much you will be able to use this pool which is the warmest.

A wide door leads from the main pool area to the Water Adventure Park which is fantastic fun for parents and kids. There is a huge colourful structure with three different slides, water sprays, cannons and hoses - basically water mayhem. On top of the structure is a huge bucket which fills up and periodically tips over the people waiting below in a huge cascade. There is a quieter area beside the structure with more sprays and water cannons.

This area has two great water slides which are not included in the general admission price. You can either buy individual tickets or an all-day unlimited pass. Both of the slides, The SpaceBOWL and The Black Hole must be ridden with a tube (either single or double). My preference was for The SpaceBOWL but you don't get a choice as to which water slide you go on. There is a common starting area and in order to maximise the flow of people going down the slide, you are directed to the first available slide. This was an efficient process and the queues were not very long all day.

The family changing rooms were very large and well maintained. The cafe was a bit disorganised and seemed like it would have trouble in busy times. There are sections for Shakes & Sundaes, Hot Food, Salad Bar, Cakes and Coffee. I think having the pay station at the end rather than the middle might make the whole process a bit more efficient. There is a window from the cafe out into the pool area which is handy.

There needs to be more seating provided, especially in the Water Adventure Park area and parking seemed like it could be difficult during peak times. There are three hour parking areas and unlimited time parking areas.

In summary this is the best Aquatic Centre in the Melbourne-Geelong area at a fantastic price and even worth a trip from Melbourne. A huge pat on the back for the Geelong council.

I would like to start off by saying that rhe5 leisurelink facility at waurn ponds is a credit to the council. Great facilities and staff. I have to make a suggestion that there needs to be more disabled car parking spaces available. I am a disability support officer and visit your facility several times a week. Finding parks for clients is a big concern and so is the journey from the car park to the front of the facility having to becareful of the traffic with no walk ways. If i might make a suggestion that there be allocated disabled car parks at the back of the facility with access to the centre from the back would be a fantastic help to your patrons with a disability. Thank you so much for your consideration of this suggestion.

I'm going there for my second visit tommorrow with my 3 y.o & 4.5 y.o & we live 45mins away. Worth the trip! I still reccommend a full day outing at Adventure Park, but for a few hours or more of indoor fun, this is great too! If you've got older kids, you can sit & have a cappacino & food in the cafe while they swim / slide!

Fantastic place. This deserves 11 stars. We went on a public holiday on a 41 degree day. It was packed but still plenty of room to move. Could not belive the entry price. Very low. I will be back. I feel sorry for adventure park as this place must take away some visitors. Not sure about lane ropes comment above. They didn't seem they could move to me. I am upset at myself that I didn't take more photo's so I could post them to this site. This place is simply a must visit for anyone down that side of the coast.

We drove down there (again) today with our two children and a friend. We spent four hours in the water adventure area. The older 2 were big enough to go on the water slides and had an absolute blast! Our 5 year old is just under the height restriction of 120cm but she loved the 3 other smaller slides and play area. The huge bucket is brilliant. It seemed to fill every 6 minutes or so. If it's quiet enough you can hear a bell start to ring just before it tips up. I think I'll have to start lobbying our council for a water play centre like this one. Almost TOO MUCH FUN !!!!!

They could fix the lane ropes. Instead they are loose and constantly moving half way into other lanes. Swimming Pool or Ocean?!

Best place ever - especially when you're down the Coast with bad weather! Hours of fun for all. A+++++++

Fantastic place for kids. We have 2 under 4 and entry price was 7.80 in total with hours of fun to be had. No place like it that I've seen before. Worth the visit even if you are driving from Melbourne for the day.
