The swimming season is typically from mid November to mid March.

A local outdoor pool which operates during the summer season on days when the forecast temperature is at least 23 degrees.
The 50m pool, which is not heated, ranges in depth from 1.0m to 3.0m, while the heated learners' pool is up to 0.7m deep and the heated toddler pool, which is partly covered by shade sails, is up to 0.4m deep. The learner and toddler pools are connected. Diving is allowed at the deep end of the 50m pool.
In the south west corner are some huge shady trees with some tables underneath but there is not a lot of shade overall. There are limited grassy surrounds which are quite dry looking in summer.
