Aquatic Adventures (Glen Iris)

Aquatic Adventures is Victoria's leading recreational group of scuba diving centres. Learn to dive today. You can start right now! We offer scuba diving services for all training levels within the recreational dive industry. With three stores in the Melbourne area Glen Iris, Rowville and Narre Warren and at Rye pier, we are positioned to cater for divers throughout Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula.

Our dive centres conduct PADI courses from Open Water through to Master Instructor, as well as the diverse range of PADI specialty courses. We also offer technical training from TDI and IANTD, and cave diving courses from CDAA.

Every week we have a club night with drinks and nibbles or a BBQ at Glen Iris, Rowville and Narre Warren, and the last Saturday of the month a dive and BBQ at Rye.

The minimum age for scuba certification is 12 for the Junior Open Water Diver or Junior Scuba Diver certification (adult-supervised diving), and 15 for the Open Water Diver or Scuba Diver certification.

For Kids:
PADI Bubblemakers:
Whether it's a glass of milk, bubble gum or submerged beneath the water - we just can't help blowing bubbles! Kids are fearless, full of energy and ready to try just about anything, so why not give them an experience they will be telling their friends about for ages? If your kids are over 8 years old, enthusiastic, healthy and water lovers, this is the perfect opportunity for you to give them an enriching and fun experience that just might spark an interest in water sports for life.

The PADI Bubblemaker program is a "Discover Scuba" type of experience, where the get to put on scuba gear and play games underwater. It is designed as a standalone program or can be run at the same time as Discover Scuba - this means you can bring the family!

PADI Seal Team:
The PADI Seal Team is for kids between 8 and 12 who are looking for an action-packed, adventurous activity. This is a school holiday activity.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to dive with an underwater torch, take pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? If you have, this is your chance to explore these exciting adventures in a swimming pool. As a PADI Seal, you learn the basics of safe diving and explore different AquaMissions - or specialty dives - like wreck, navigation, buoyancy, underwater photography, environmental awareness and more.

Here's your chance to explore cool AquaMissions, meet friends and share in the adventure of the underwater world. And best of all - join a winning team - become a PADI Seal Team Member!

How does it work?
The PADI Seal Team program is split into sections, called Aquamissions. When you start you'll receive a Seal Team pack that will include your own video, workbook and logbook. Each time you do an Aquamission with a PADI Instructor, they will sign your logbook. When you have done the first 5 Aquamissions, you become a PADI Seal Team member and receive your very own certification card!

What will I do?
Don't worry if you haven't breathed underwater before - most people haven't! When you come along to an Aquamission you will meet with your Instructor and the other kids on the course. You'll go through the safety rules and have a look at the cool dive gear you'll be wearing. We'll get you into the pool and you'll be helped into your gear, and then we'll have FUN! You'll learn some basic scuba diving skills and then we play lots of games underwater.

At the end of the Aquamission the group will talk about the dive and what you learned, and you'll fill in your log book. Your Instructor will sign it to say that you've completed the Aquamission.

What happens next?
Once you've completed your 5 Aquamissions, you can then go on to Specialty Aquamissions. This is where we introduce things like photography, navigation and diving in Inner Space!

When 10 specialty Aquamissions have been completed, then you become a PADI Master Seal Team Member and get ANOTHER membership card!

Once you turn 12 you'll be able to do the PADI Open Water Course and go diving in the ocean.

Bubblemakers Parties:
Why not do something different this year? Forget the takeaway parties with thousands of kids. We run parties for a minimum of 6 kids where they will blow bubbles and play games.

Opening Hours:

The Open Water Diver course is run over 4 days. For group sessions this is usually two consecutive weekends, although at certain holiday times we sometimes run 4 consecutive days.
