Pools: Main Pool
The 8-lane 50m pool has a moveable boom, which can divide the pool into 2 x 25m areas. This flexible design enables for maximum usage of this facility at all times. Programs in this pool include squads, lap swimming, and aqua aerobics. Access ramps allow easy access into the 50m pool. The pool is programmed so that there is always at least 3 lanes available
for lap swimmers.
The wave pool is a great hit with all children and adults. Experience the waves just like at the beach. Operating for 5 minutes, every 20 minutes, during the scheduled times the beach entry style makes this pool accessible for everyone. A safety requirement of no more than two children, under 10 years, being supervised by an adult in the water is strictly reinforced.
Aquatic Education Pool
With over 2400 children enrolled in the Aquatic Education program, the program pool is one of the most heavily used areas of the facility. Situated close to the family changing areas the 15m x 8m sized pool is heated to a comfortable 32 degrees. The program pool is open to the public when aquatic Education is not in progress.
Spa, sauna and steam
Invigorate and revive your mind and body in our spa, sauna and steam room. A great way to relax after a hard workout or just a tough day at work. you must be 16 years or over to be able to access this area.
Let your toddler enjoy some independence and explore a water environment in a specially designed pool. The 2 metre frog slide, bubbles, water spouts and arches and lights will keep them entertained for hours.
All of the pools are indoors and there is a good range of facilities for all ages. The 0.9 m deep Aquatic Education Pool is nice and warm while the toddler play area is a little chilly. The toddler area has a Philbert the Frog slide which can only be used by kids shorter than 1.2m. This is strictly enforced. The waves in the wave pool were quite small - more like a ripple pool than a wave pool. Around the wave pool there are jets of water squirting from the floor. For part of the time, a large inflatable obstacle course was available.
A BBQ and some umbrellas are provided on the grassy area outside. The family change rooms were a bit poky and dark (burgundy is not my favourite colour for a changing room) and the lock was also missing off the door.
