Apex Park, Queen Street, Altona

This location is next to the water and can become rather wind-swept. Fathers wearing hair-pieces with suspect adherence should avoid this playground. Interesting area with large open space, timber toilet structure, a structure with four large pipes (seemingly without a purpose except as a play area) and a playground. The playground structure suffers from a lack of height - the Danny DeVito complex, and the swings do not have a safety chain.

Dogs run off leash through this playground. Their owners are often out of sight behind bushes down on the beach. Beware!

The best feature in this park - the pipes, have now been removed. My kids loved running in and out and over these playing chasey.
