First Steps and Stepnout Performing Arts (Werribee)
We have amazing classes on offer to benefit any child or adult including Traditional Ballet, Hip Hop,Funk, Cheerleading, Preschool Co-ordination, Little Fairies, Jazz, Tap, Theatrical (combination of Tap and Jazz), Fun and Fitness, Zumba, Musical Theatre and Private Singing. ATOD Exams syllabus is part of the Jazz, Tap and Ballet classes. We also have a new hip hop syllabus being introduced along with Cecchetti Ballet for our senior students.
Philosophy:
We believe in having a great time and building self confidence in all our children. This enables them to learn at a greater pace and increases their desire to learn more and achieve greater things. We do not tolerate any attitude that is unbecoming. No parent will speak of any other child in the studio unless it is with kindness. The studio is a stress free part of our lives where we come together to enjoy our successes. Any person not believing in this philosophy will be asked to leave. This is part of our success and works wonderfully for the children.
First Steps - Junior School (18 months - 4 years)
Annual Concert Toddler, Kinder and Little Fairies classes perform in their own annual concert. This provides them with a gentle first taste of performing in an age appropriate event. There are no expectations; we encourage all our junior school students to have a great time. Little Fairies wear costumes in the concert. Toddler and Kinder classes wear their First Steps T-shirt with black pants.
Preschool classes: Toddler and Kinder (18 months to 3 years) First Steps offers 55 min classes in activities ranging from Song, Dance, Gym(Perceptual Motor Program) and Music. Situated in an environment that has been designed for preschool children, each class is focused on the children learning and developing motor skills in a fun atmosphere with positive reinforcement. Focusing on individual needs of the children, the classes teach balance, fitness, locomotion, appreciation of basic music, social skills, hand, eye and foot co-ordination and self confidence. Classes are structured into two age groups (Toddler and Kinder) to accommodate for the children's mental and physical needs where developmental stage of children is different.
Little Fairies: (3 years)
For the children that are ready to dance this class is a great introduction. It combines co-ordination activities and equipment and also the first lessons of dance and performing routines. It is extremely fun and relaxed with no pressure at all.
StepNOut - Senior School (4 years to Adults)
Annual Concert All Children participating in all other classes have the ability to perform in our Senior Annual Concert. Although this is not compulsory we recommend all students participate as it a wonderful experience. We have a yearly costume fee that all students are required to pay. All costumes are made by a dressmaker and are the property of the studio. This is a relaxed event where greater self confidence and ability are achieved.
Competition Teams
Performing in a variety of events and concerts the Comp Teams offer students the opportunity to shine on stage with confidence and experience a greater level of friendship with other students. To be eligible to be part of our comp teams students must participate in Classical Ballet.
Dance Classes: (4 years to Adults) There is a huge range available depending on your personal taste.
Birthday Parties
Parties can be held at our premises or yours. The party includes dance class to music suited to the theme, inclusion of dancing party games and a special performance at the end for all the parents.
