Review:

The car park has quite a lot of shady trees which is a welcome sight for an aquatic centre. Normally there is a lot of "ouch, that's hot" when we get back into the car.

Inside there is an odd-shaped heated 25m pool which is divided into lanes for lap swimming, an extra area with three diving boards which are periodically opened for use and another section of pool which is for leisure play. There is also a separate indoor shallow (0.3m) toddlers pool which is fairly inaccessible to the main pool (good from a safety viewpoint).

Outdoors there is a heated 25m pool, separate shallow (0.9m) leisure pool and a large toddlers pool covered by shade sails and lined by shaded seats around one side. The 25m pool varies in depth from 1.0m to 3.0m. Water tap is available. There is not much grassy area directly around the pools but there is a decent lawn area between the main building and the outdoor pool area with some shady trees and unshaded tables. The men's and women's changing rooms outside were in an old brick building but they were clean and functional.

The family change rooms in the main building are located next to the cafe and you have to traipse across a carpeted area to get to them - more an add-on than an integral part of the facilities. There is a fairly large cafe.

Overall, we failed to get inspired by this centre. There is nothing special about it.
