Shame Shame shame on th owner of this facility!! Considering this facility is for children 6 months to 5 years they need to take a good look at health and safety. The unused bar area in the childrens play section which is used to store all kinds of junk is inadequately sectioned off. My son got out of my sight for 5 seconds and her was behind there spraying pesticide in his face. The aerosols can just left of the bottom shelving!! Of course that's safe for a children's play area. The response of the manager was disgusting, all I got was 'well council comes here and they've approved this set up'. She did not ask if my son was ok not did she apologise or offer a resolution or even seem genuinely concerned that a 2 1/2 year old sprayed a flamable pesticide can in his face. Turns out she is the owner and doesn't mind one lost client. But hey word of mouth goes a long way in this industry. Sad to say when I had to request she write up an incident report she wrote on the that she did ask about his wellbeing and I was very unconcerned by it all. She should focus more time on actually caring and her business and clientele than rewording an incident report.

I have had both wonderful and upsetting experiences here. It is brilliant to have a place to take my 2 year old as other centres don't cater to them very well with tiny areas. I completely understand that parents with older children AND young children would like the opportunity to bring their kids but some (not all) bigger kids just play too hard and fast (& are not watched by some parents because they are older). We ONLY go there because there are supposed to be no big kids-they have soooo many other play centres they could go to. Maybe Childs Play could open for families with older siblings one morning or afternoon a week for parents in need?? Those of us who know this will avoid that time.

I am a regular customer there at Childs Play and I have to say I absolutly love the centre. The staff are always friendly, bubbly and polite and I have never had a problem with other children being older and trampling my children. Whilst I am always responsible for my children and always keep an eye on them i feel they are in a safe environment and I can easily sit and enjoy a coffee and a piece of cake. I have recomened Childs Play to many of my friends with younger children in the past and they to agree that the centre is wonderful.

Have been there the last few Saturday mornings and am getting fed up with having LO trampled by bigger kids that are well and truly above school age. Yes, it's my responsibility to make sure that my son is safe, but I go here so that he can safely play with other kids of a similar age while I sit on my backside and drink coffee. Complaints to the prepubescent reception staff have never been actioned.

Just writing to let you know how disappointed I am with your centre. Some mothers from school organised a play date before school starts at your centre and when I arrived this morning was asked my kids ages (8 months, 3 and 6 years) I was told point blank that the 6 year old wasn't allowed in. Before this I wasn't aware of the ages and the fact that her other friends were in there playing, who are all 6, made me more angrier. I cannot understand how you can enforce a rule like this and how you can turn away a crying 6 year old. She was devastated that her friends were in there playing and that she wasn't allowed, the walk out of the centre was horrible. I know you will probably ignore this email but how can you run a childrens play centre then break their hearts like this. Obviously you don't care and none of you are fit enough to run a place that is supposed to make kids happy. Shame on you.
