My family spent hours here on our recent visit to Melbourne. It's a fantastic place - organic, natural play areas with lots to do, free, easy to access. I'd love to get the same thing going for our kids in Adelaide.

I really don't know how somebody can call this playground horrible...My 3 year old loves it and can't wait every day for the playground to open. It is a shame that the council is cutting funding for it which means the staff has to reduce the opening hours. I wish I had a playground like that when I was a child!

I LOVE this place - my 3 kids (one with Autism) think it's the best park EVER. Let's them use their imagination and I personally love the rustic feel to the place..beats any play centre that's for sure!!!!

I was just there with my children. I thought the place was HORRIBLE! after all the nice reviews that I saw here, I thought it was worth going. The place was small, cramped and VERY dirty. Its really not worth going! It could be the place used to be nice but definitely not anymore!

Is this accessible using public transport? We are visitors from WA, will be in Melbourne next week for four days only. Thanks Admin - Yes, you could get a tram to St Kilda (trams 3a, 16, 96) and get off at the corner of Fitzroy Street and Grey Street and walk from there.

We found this playground on the web site this morning Took our two grandchildren aged 3 and 5 1/2 (he has autism) and they just loved it There are so many places to play and explore. Great weather and we did get a park in Neptune street! A picnic lunch topped off a wonderful day.

I love this place I grew up here and often took my son now 13 and his friends as he was growing up. Now in childrens services I will be bringing the group hopefully over the next school holidays. X :)

I am not sure who had the most fun - my 42 year old husband or my 17 month old daughter! And we got a 2hr car park in the street next to the park!

Do you have to book to go? My family are in Melbourne for a week in April - do we just turn up or do you advise ringing? Admin - you don't have to book but in order not to be disappointed I would advise calling first and making sure the playground is going to be open when you plan to visit.

I took my 2 boys aged 5 & 3 today and they both had an absolute ball. We could have stayed all day. There wasn't much parking available but we were lucky enough to snare one out the front. I will definitely beveommending this park to others

Took my granddaughter to the playground on last Sunday when I visited her. I think this playground didn't cost a lot to build comparing with some council built children playground in the parks, but my granddaughter had lots of fun there. We didn't have any problem to find a parking place on the street nearby.

I want one of these in Adelaide!!! :))))) My kids would love the whole thing !!! Sick of my kids being in doors!!!!
Margaret      Posted:    3:46 PM June 30, 2011

Is it open on week days during the school holidays? Admin - Yes it is but I would always advise calling beforehand since the playground sometimes is closed unexpectedly.

We parked in the car park on the corner of Princes and Pattison. Ticketed parking, of course, but not too far to walk.
Mark      Posted:    9:29 AM March 11, 2011

How much does it cost to enter? Admin- It is free.
Brett      Posted:    12:38 PM March 3, 2011

Please note - playground is funded for kids at risk. Some programs not accessible to general public. Park is occasionally closed without notice due to outings and events with local families. Please call ahead to avoid disappointment. 9209 6348 And yeah... sorry about the parking. Not much can be done about that. Bring comfortable shoes :-)

WHERE do you park Rosa?? It's very limited in all the surrounding streets, and the few spots there are are lmiited to one hour. Not to mention the one-way labyrinth that surrounds it!
rosa      Posted:    9:58 AM January 6, 2011

The best playground ever. Parking is not the big deal, not a big bother. Wouldn't expect to get a carpark just in front of the entrance!
gabby      Posted:    11:08 PM January 4, 2011

If only the park was situated where you could acually get parking.
