Ruffey Lake Park, The Boulevard, Doncaster

Nicely created playground with most of the equipment under shade cloth. The main area is quite low and doesn’t include any big slides. The structures include small slides, tunnel, walkway, disks on a vertical pole, hanging disks, rope traverse, three stand-on spinners, vertical rope climbing frame, cubby house with table and seats, four springers, monkey bars, flying foxes and four swings.

Up the hill a little is a mound with three decent slides leading down its sides. Also paths lead to a variety of bridges and structures scattered about.

Includes BBQ, sheltered table and seats. Water tap and toilets. There is space for ball games. Bus stop nearby.

This is one of our favorite playgrounds for the kids. It's part of the large Ruffey Lake reserve. It's set amongst rolling hills which the kids love rolling down when the grass is not too wet. Just down the hill towards the lake is an escarpment that was presumably due to quarrying. Can walk along paths near the creek for when the kids get bored of the playground. Can easily spend a good hunk of the day here if you mix it up a bit. Car park is large but can be hard to find a spot if you visit on nice-weather days in peak time (weekends). Toilets are nice and close to the playground rather than 500m away.
