There are plenty of opportunities to get wet here, including a large pad with water jet sprays which are activated by buttons on two poles and an area bounded by rock walls with two water taps to create a gentle flow of water down a slope past some large metal reeds and a bridge into a sandpit. The large sandpit has a big sandpit with water table and digger.

Along the side of the playground beside the car park (which is mainly fenced off) is a huge birds nest swing, four standard swings and a spinning carousel with seat and standing positions. On the side there is also a bamboo forest to wander through.

The playground subtly pays homage to the Australian Painted Lady Butterfly which is found in Ballam Park - those with a keen eye will see the signs. There is also a platypus and echidna to find.

There are shelters with table and BBQs, unshaded tables and BBQs, water tap, toilets and huge grassy areas.
