Keast Park Playground, Nepean Highway, Seaford

Keast Park Playground, Nepean Highway, Seaford

An interesting looking playgrounds and surrounds but ultimately the play equipment is very limited. If you can't come with imagination then maybe don't come at all.

There is a huge irregular shaped sandpit with large rocks leading along a trail from the wooden border to a main rock in the centre of the sandpit which has a tap which sprays water onto the rock when it is pressed. There is a curved rope bridge between the sandy area and the grassy area and also a wooden peaked bridge. The sandpit is complemented by a birds nest swing and two standard swings without safety chains in sandpits.

There are three tables, BBQs, water tap and grassy areas partly dotted with trees. There is plenty of unshaded seating and a lovely sculpture. Tracks lead down to the beach. A playground to take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes. There is a large car park with ticketed parking from 9:30 am to 8pm. The cost is $3 per hour with a maximum payment of $12. Frankston Foreshore permit holders are excepted unless otherwise signed.

This Reserve is home to the Keast Park Pavilion which houses the Carrum Bowls Club, toilet facilities and Crackerjack Cafe which offers Bay and city views.
