The playground is in Candlebark Walk Reserve which extends along the north side of Croydon Hills Drive with multiple access points. The reserve occupies 9.2 ha (22.5 acres), consists 2.5 ha of open spaces and has 117 indigenous species. The reserve has a lake and there is a walking trail around the reserve.
