The playground has had a massive upgrade and the huge play area stretches out in a long line overlooked by an equally long row of shaded and unshaded seats set on the slope above the playground area.

The eastern end has a monster tower with steps leading up to a big spiral slide. The tower also has a curved slide, wooden climbing wall, rope ladder, disks on a vertical pole and fireman's pole.

A rope bridge leads to a huge area of horizontal and vertical nets. Think the quantity of nets which would empty Port Phillip Bay of fish if fishermen ever got their hands on them. The nets join with a smaller structure for younger kids which has two wave slides, scrambling wall and ladder. A soft, spongy path which provides access to all the play equipment, leads around to the music section which has plenty of vertical pipe drums and metal percussion boxes. This area has a spinning carousel and elevated wooden platform on springs.

The path leads to two flying foxes with disk seats, two standard swings, birds nest swing, in ground trampoline and a parkour / metal frame climbing area. There are plenty of speak and listen systems scattered about - maybe they can be used to train kids to listen to their parents (our kids certainly need a few hours here).

Around the playground are grassy areas, BBQs, picnic tables, water tap, toilets, basketball / netball courts, table tennis tables, pond (about 100m away) and a 1000m long jogging track.

The major problem with the playground is lack of parking in the area, which is especially difficult on the weekend. A train to Box Hill station, bus or a tram might be a better option.
