Lilys Dance Studios (Coburg)
Lily's Dance Studios offers classes in classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theatre, tiny tots and more.
Facilities include fully air conditioned studios, sprung timber floors, full length mirrors, ballet barres, parents waiting room with coffee and tea facilities.
We foster self esteem, confidence and a love of dance through the development of proper dance techniques. Students at Lily's Dance Studios have the opportunity to participate in examinations and multiple yearly performances. All students who partake in the end year concert are awarded with a commemorative trophy at Presentation Day.
The teachers at Lily's Dance Studios promote excellence in our students. This includes a 100% pass rate in external examinations, with most students achieving Distinction or Honours standard. Class sizes are kept to a minimum to ensure that each student receives individual attention.
Our studios are based in Glenroy in the northern suburbs of Melbourne with easy access to public transport, great shopping and plenty of car parking.
Classes
Acro
Acro classes complement other dance classes by improving body strength and flexibility. Our Acrobatics classes are held in a safe non-competitive environment. All Acrobatics students are assessed by our Acro teachers before starting lessons to ensure they are in the correct Acro class based on ability.
Ballet and Contemporary
We teach ballet classes for kids in the Cecchetti Method in classical ballet which is world renowned for it's technique, artistry and high standards in classical ballet to children.
Students at Lily's Dance Studios ballet school are taught classical ballet work from Pre-primary to Advanced level are able to participate in internal and external examinations and assessments, as well as performing in an end of year performance at the Clock Tower Centre Moonee Ponds and other events giving them the opportunity to set goals and achieve success.
Parents and students can be assured that Cecchetti Ballet maintains and expects high standard in the professional development of its teachers, provides graded developmental syllabi relevant to today's children. For toddlers and pre-school children who are not yet ready to be in a ballet class on their own we recommend our Tiny Tots dance program for a great fun introduction into classical ballet.
Ballet Bambini
Our Tiny Tots Dance Program is a pre school dance program for kinder kids that has been running successfully since the year 2000 at our dance school. Our Tiny Tots pre-school dance kids learn in a real dance studio with real dance teachers not just another franchise. Many of our first tiny tots have attained their 10 and 15 Year Awards with Lily's Dance Studios. We think this makes our Tiny Tots class one of the best toddler dance class for 2,3 and 4 year olds available.
Hip Hop
We take all styles of dance seriously. We offer high energy Hip Hop classes, taught by industry professionals with valued experience in the style. They collectively have over 20 years of experience, have been trained extensively in a formal dance setting, and have performed with numerous celebrities and dance professionals. This amount of experience allows us to give your child the attention, professionalism, and knowledge that they deserve when learning a new craft.
Jazz Dance
Students at our dance school are taught jazz using the Australian Teachers of Dancing Jazz Moves Syllabus. This is a unique system of training that is innovative, technical and engaging. It includes many styles such as: Broadway, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Funk and Lyrical.
Musical Theatre
We have dedicated musical theatre classes. Musical theatre students at our dance and singing school are taught skills such as singing, drama and stage craft. The classes are fun for the students and aim to build self confidence and stage presence. Musical theatre classes complement all other performing arts and dance classes at our school by creating confident all round performers.
Tap Dance
Tap dance students at our dance school are taught the Australian Teachers of Dance tap syllabus.
