Lakeside Sailing Club (Pakenham)

The Lakeside Sailing Club - Pakenham is a local sailing club that offers a low barrier, accessible and all-inclusive environment where people can learn and shine in dinghy sailing regardless their means, ability, gender or age.

Whilst most other sailing clubs often require the purchase of a dinghy or boat, our club members receive free access to numerous sailing dinghies, life and first aid equipment, thus requiring no big investments from our members. Membership fees have been kept as low as possible, thus mainly covering the required insurances. This has proven to be a winning formula attracting and keeping people involved in the great sport of sailing.

Lakeside Sailing Club

Weather permitting, sailing typically occurs every Sunday (Oct-Apr) from 9am till 3pm at the Lakeside lake in Pakenham. On top of that, and throughout the entire year, we often have social events or join other clubs in their series or regattas.

Sailability - Our club strongly believes that everyone should be able to enjoy the great sport of sailing. Therefore the club launched a floating pontoon jetty with hoist. This jetty and hoist, combined with our 2 Hansa Class Access dinghies, ensures that people with all abilities can join the fun on the water.
