Kids Aquatic Survival School (Dingley Village)

Kids Aquatic Survival School (Dingley Village)

It is not just about swimming, it is about survival. Children from 6 months to 5 years are taught the skills to save themselves should they fall into water.

The Kids Aquatic Survival School (KASS) program is very different to most swimming lessons. Regular swim lessons for 1-4 year olds are primarily water familiarisation, not survival lessons. One in every ten drownings in Australia are children under the age of 4 so it only makes sense that these are the children that are also learning how to swim and float without floatation aids or parents holding them in the water singing nursery rhymes.

KASS deliver Australia's safest, most effective, accelerated aquatic survival program for non verbal infants and young children. Our program focuses on aquatic survival skills targeted to children aged 6 months to 6 years. The Survival skills are designed to form a layer of protection in the prevention against drowning. The ability to swim a few feet in the water is not necessarily going to save the child in an emergency situation. No chid is drown-proof, and nothing replaces supervision or restricting access to water, however teaching a child to float could give the child, parents or emergency services those crucial seconds or minutes which could prevent further tragedy.

All KASS lessons are taught privately 1:1 with specialised instructors.

Programs

Survival Lessons
Children from 6 months old learn vital swimming skills to save themselves.

Transitional Lessons
The KASS Survival and Learn to swim program provides the child with the optimal foundation for their swimming and water safety future. Once the child has completed this stage of survival and swimming they can progress onto weekly transitional lessons.

Transitional lessons are designed to bridge the gap between survival lessons and stroke development.

Transitional lessons are 15 minute weekly lessons delivered privately 1 on 1 throughout the school term. In Transitional lessons your child will further develop their survival skills to ensure retention of these vital skills.

Stroke Lessons
Improve your child's swimming confidence and competence. Stroke development works on a child's ability to swim the four competitive strokes plus works on them being able to perform and play games that they will use to improve their swimming confidence and competence. Stroke development lessons are all private lessons and classes are 30 minutes long.
